Sweet Votan came to my home in Eagle Mountain, Utah for his newborn session. He was adorable with his full head of hair and lots of tiny wrinkles! Months before his birth, I sat down with his parents to discuss things that would help make his portraits meaningful to them. As well as colors they loved and would want to be displayed in their home as wall art. At the time they were the kind of superhero parents that wanted wait for the birth to find out the gender of the baby. So when he was born, they let me know that it was a boy! And that they named him after a Mayan God and wanted to incorporate his name as well as other Mexican elements into his session, to honor their heritage. I love taking time to make sure that we create images that are unique for each family. Whether that means incorporating your culture or special themes or colors that will look well in your home, I want your newborn session to be even better than you envision it.

Some parents don’t really have a vision, a theme or really any idea at all about what they would like for thier newborn portraits. And that is totally fine! As a newborn portrait artist, I will prepare beautiful setups for you even if you don’t have anything particular you would like. Some families just simply want sweet memories of the newborn stage.
